Our Story
Ithaba began as a small business supplying Makhapas (B-Grade timber poles) and limited volumes of dunnage to the local market. Through consistent quality, reliability, and a customer-focused approach, we have grown into one of Southern Africa’s preferred suppliers of dunnage and a comprehensive range of timber products.
Over the years, we have set new benchmarks in service delivery while continuously expanding our product offering to meet the needs of both private and public sector clients across multiple industries. Ithaba has a proven track record of successfully being awarded public sector tenders for the supply of treated transmission poles, demonstrating our technical capability, compliance standards, and ability to deliver at scale.
We take compliance seriously and operate in full accordance with all SARS statutory requirements, ensuring transparency, accountability, and sound governance in every aspect of our business.
Today, we proudly supply customers throughout South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, and Mozambique.
With a strong and reliable supply of raw materials feeding into our two sawmills, we ensure efficient production, quick turnaround times, and on-time, in-full deliveries. In addition, we strategically source raw timber from reputable growers within the market to optimise production capacity and maintain consistent supply.
We also operate two timber yards where we maintain consignment stock for select long-standing customers and provide full timber yard management services. This enables improved stock control, operational efficiency, and dependable product availability for our clients.
